hah, dihrty gets caught trying to steal software, by the author!i think the name of this program is a bit odd; normally, if you call yourself "x defender", that means you defend "x" (rather than defending against "x"). so "malware defender" at first sight seems like it's intended to defend malware, rather than defend your system against malware. ok, whatever.i installed it, and enabled only the network protection. i also enabled "learning mode". yet the program still prevented some of my software from working. programs like katmouse and altmove, which rely on global hooks, were dead in the water. there was nothing in the logs. hooks were not supposed to be blocked in the first least it has the appearance of a great application.

i tried it and hate it.... 1. if you have ever tried the windows 8 beta this does not even come close to the same thing. 2. there is nothing compelling about this... lack of addons?3. looks horrible with no multi monitor support.4. the one thing i tried to add to it was the control panel tile and the whole thing crashed and would not start again just a constant error. at that point wasn't worth keeping around.

i agree, i liked nero for a long time, but that last version is convoluted, cartoony garbage. ezcd six is clean, simple, loaded with useful features and runs without a glitch. unfortunately, early releases of six were very buggy. anyone who felt burned when adopting it earlier should give it another try.

ummm, based on the authors "homepage" i am skeptical this app is even remotely legit. what idiot on betanews found this?

wow! ...did they forget anything? there is full featured software, and then there is full featured software!!! loli, like the other guy, prefer the 'run' dialog (winkey+r) as it is faster if you know the command(s). but if you don't, or need to access multiple items on your system from one spot, this is your app!indeed there needs to be a little work on the interface, but if the gui doesn't bother you, then i highly recommend this.p.s. there are links in this software that will take you to places in your os where you could do some serious damage if you don't know what your doing. use with caution if you are a neophyte. :)

i recently purchased a nifty hp pavilion dm1 notebook. it came with windows 7 64 bit and it was doing just fine. then, a few days ago i made a very stupid move and downloaded the windows 8 pre-release evaluation. what i didn't know was that once downloaded win 8 can't be removed. i tried to bring it back to factory settings, but windows 8 wiped that out, as well as all other hp programs that came with the note book. as i write, my bluetooth still doesn't work.i had to find hp drivers for my notebook to try and bring back to standard. some of them work and some don't. since my hp notebook doesn't come with a dvd optical drive i had to order one and also had to order a recovery disk from hp. as soon as these items arrive, i'll be nuking win 8 and get back to using win 7, which when you don't have it, one knows how good it was in for win 8, it has some interesting do-dads. the start screen looks like my wife's lumia and quite frankly it sucks. to me it's gimicky and a bit childish. it gets in the way of doing what you want to do do with the computer. i could go on, but i've said enough. in short, i won't be shelling out any shekels for win 8, as it already has cost me a considerable amount of money attempting to get my new notebook back to its original condition. and yes, i was stupid.
